Principal
Michelle Sveum
Michelle Sveum is the principal of LINKS Academy as well as associate principal of Godley 6th Grade Campus.
Sveum graduated magna cum laude from Indiana State University, earning the prestigious Mary E. White Student Teaching Award. She later received a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Texas at Arlington and completed post-graduate programs at Lamar University.
Originally from Minnestoa, Sveum has worked in public education since 2004, when she began her career in Cleburne as an ESL and GT teacher at Irving Elementary School. She later taught English/language arts at both Smith and Wheat Middle Schools and served as department chair. Sveum was named Cleburne ISD Teacher of the Year in 2005.
In 2012, Sveum moved to Crowley ISD as an instructional specialist at David Walker Intermediate School.
Coming to Godley in 2016, Sveum taught high school English for four years prior to moving into her current position. She proudly received the GISD "Purple Ukulele" Award twice.
Sveum and her husband, Gil, have two children. She has been active with the Pecan Plantation Women's Club.
