Disciplinary Alternative Education Program DAEP
What is DAEP?
DAEP is a behavior modification program designed to serve students who have been removed from their home campus and assigned to an alternative educational placement facility for violating the GISD Code of Conduct or students in GISD who have been charged with a felony offense. DAEP works on:
- Behavior Management
- Academics
- Social Skills
Intake Meeting
Complete the following once your student has been assigned to DAEP:
- Parents must call to set up an intake meeting: (817) 592-4207
- A parent and the student MUST attend the Intake Meeting.
- Intake meetings are scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
- Students cannot start in DAEP until the Intake Meeting has been completed.
The Intake Meeting will include specific information about your student's progress in school, a review of current and past disciplinary actions, and setting short and long term academic and personal goals.
